Singapore Airlines has one great advantage! They offer
nonstop flights between LAX and Singapore. These flights offer Executive
Economy Class ... the seats are 3" wider and have 7" more legroom than standard
coach seats! The seat configuration in 2-3-2 ... so, almost everyone has
either a window or aisle seat. And, even those with a middle seat only
have 1 person on either side. The airplane also has a large "lounge" area
where you can stand and stretch your legs and have a snack or a drink! You
don't have to stand by the toilets or in the narrow aisles if you need to get up
and stretch!! The price is Regardless of the airline you choose, you will end up on Malaysia Airlines flying into Tawau - your final airport destination. Once you arrive Tawau, Sipadan Water Village has you covered! The resort has an office in the Tawau Airport - so they will be waiting on you when your flight arrives! They will assist you with your luggage and transport you to the coastal town of Semporna. From Semporna, they will transfer you by speedboat to the resort. There
are several ways to get to Sipadan Water Village from the US. We prefer
the schedules on Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines. Both airlines
offer great service and great schedules.
higher than coach class - but no where near as high as Business Class. The
comfort is much better than coach - but not quite Business Class!!
Executive Economy Class is a fabulous compromise!! And, as an added bonus,
you can accrue frequent flyer miles in this class of service!
