What fun!
Photo Week 2006 was an enormous
success! We had 40 participants ... 3 photo pros ... 2 camera
pros ... 800 pounds of camera equipment ... and the most target rich
environment on the planet!! What else do you need for a
fabulous week?!
We had people from California, Texas, Rhode
Island, Virginia, New Hampshire, Michigan, New York, New Jersey,
Alaska, ...
We had people with many years of experience ...
and people who had never held a camera!
We had new divers ... and old (er ... experienced)
divers.
We had great diving, great weather, great people,
great fun, great divemasters and a great experience.
The improvement of the
photos from the first day to the last day was impressive!
Everyone really took advantage of the guidance that the pros had to
offer.

Photo pros ... Clay Wiseman
returned for his second year with Photo Week. We
were very excited to welcome Marty Snyderman and Mauricio Handler this
year, also. Between the three of them, guests had very little time
to sleep or eat! We are thinking of renaming the event Photo Boot
Camp!
Equipment ... Joe Wysocki (Optiquatics) and
Andy Wallace provided camera gear and invaluable assistance to each
person! Joe provided a vast array of cameras, housings, strobes,
batteries, accessories, computers, and anything else you could possibly
need to shoot photos underwater! Joe and Andy's knowledge of the equipment and
their tireless patience
in explaining all of it were so appreciated!!
The participants ... came from all over the US to learn more
about underwater photography and have a great time. Fred Dion,
from Underwater Photo-Tec, brought most of the people! We are
thankful to Fred for doing such a great job of promoting the trip - but
also for bringing such nice people!
Photo Week 2007 ... The 4th Annual
Photo Week is already planned. We are moving the dates to June
2007.
